MISSING POKÉMON TRACKER

Turn “what am I missing?” into a useful hunt list.

Filter your collection to the species you still need, separate obtainable gaps from unreleased Pokémon, and open each card to plan the evolution or acquisition path.

A FOCUSED DISCOVERY LIST

See missing Pokémon by generation

DexJourney calculates missing progress from your own trainer profile. Open Missing Pokémon to remove caught species from the view, then use generation, type, tag, and text filters to narrow the list.

Generation bulk controls help when you already have a mostly complete regional Pokédex. You can mark or clear a whole generation, then correct the exceptions card by card.

RELEASE-AWARE PROGRESS

Do not count unreleased species as obtainable gaps

Each Pokémon card includes a Released or Unreleased label. Unreleased entries remain visible so the future Pokédex is understandable, but they are separated from currently achievable completion totals.

Released means a Pokémon has been obtainable historically. It may still be absent from the current season, region, event, raid rotation, research pool, or egg pool.

PLAN THE NEXT STEP

Catch, evolve, trade, research, or use a special method

Evolution requirements

Review candy costs, evolution items, gender rules, time conditions, buddy tasks, trades, and special requirements.

Standalone acquisition

For Pokémon without an evolution path, review collection methods such as GO Snapshot encounters.

Forms and regions

Use the separate Forms & Variants Dex when the missing goal is an alternate form rather than a base species.

Search combinations

Combine missing with generation, type, category, or imported collection details.

USEFUL SEARCHES

PROGRESS THAT STAYS USEFUL

Profiles, backups, and version history

Keep separate profiles for different trainers, sync them through your DexJourney account, and export CSV backups. Local and cloud history can restore recent collection versions after an accidental bulk update.

Manual tracking protects your account: DexJourney never asks for your Pokémon GO login. Update your checklist directly or import collection fields you control.
