ABOUT DEXJOURNEY

An independent collection companion.

DexJourney is a fan-made checklist for tracking a Pokémon GO Pokédex, collection attributes, missing species, release availability, and evolution requirements. It is not an official game client and cannot access a Pokémon GO account.

Independence

DexJourney is not affiliated with or endorsed by Scopely, Niantic, The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures, or GAME FREAK. Pokémon, Pokémon GO, character names, artwork, and related marks belong to their respective owners.

Artwork and data attribution

Character sprites are delivered from the PokéAPI sprites repository. That repository states that its image contents are copyright The Pokémon Company. Pokédex, type, availability, search, evolution, eligibility, and form information is independently assembled for checklist use and may contain errors or become outdated.

Special-category eligibility uses the Leek Duck Shiny Checklist, Bulbapedia’s Shadow Pokémon list, Pokémon GO availability list, and Event Pokémon catalog, plus official Pokémon GO announcements. Form names and families also reference the official Pokédex. These sources do not endorse DexJourney.

How event information is checked

The event catalog automatically reads official Pokémon GO announcements and community data from ScrapedDuck, which collects Leek Duck event information. Schedule entries can appear before complete guide details are confirmed. Dates, geography, research, and paid benefits are kept separate; missing details are labeled rather than invented. Automation can miss changes, so confirm important travel or ticket decisions in the game and the original announcement.

The events calendar shows the latest sync status and warns when its data is stale. A successful sync is not a guarantee that every upstream fact has been published. Battle recommendations use PvPoke rankings and the Pokémon GO Game Master; each guide displays its battle-data freshness separately.

Official announcements take precedence for mechanics, dates, regional restrictions, and paid benefits. Community reporting can supplement exact task-and-reward rows. The catalog checks sources hourly; detail pages may reuse a cached source check. “Source checked” describes an automated retrieval or parser check, not a human review. A page’s content-update date, an upstream publication date, and a source-check time are different things.

How battle recommendations are calculated

PvP recommendations come from PvPoke and are kept separate for Great, Ultra, and Master League. Rankings are a starting point, not a guarantee of wins: IVs, restricted cups, team coverage, shields, and energy change matchups.

Raid recommendations are DexJourney’s neutral cycle-DPS estimates using move power, energy, and duration from the Pokémon GO Game Master maintained by PokeMiners. Same-type fast and charged move pairs are preferred; the estimate includes a 1.2 same-type damage factor. It does not simulate a specific boss, type effectiveness, weather, dodging, survivability, Party Power, or Mega boosts. Do not read it as a universal best-counter ranking.

The daily updater pins related input files to repository revisions, validates them before publishing, and retains last-good data on a failed refresh. Guides show the last successful source check; a snapshot older than 48 hours is flagged stale. Upstream data can itself be older than the latest check. Explore the battle guide or species recommendations.

Catalog review dates are not live availability

The bundled category-eligibility and form catalogs were reviewed July 15, 2026; the costume catalog was reviewed July 17, 2026; the base-species availability and evolution catalogs were reviewed July 10, 2026. These are catalog review dates, not promises of a daily manual review. Special acquisition methods show their own review date and source. “Released” means historically obtainable, not necessarily available in the current event or rotation.

Try it without an account

Use the tracker as a guest, import a Pokédex screen recording or screenshots, and review recognition results before adding them. You can also enter catches manually or import and export CSV files. Recognition is a convenience, not a guaranteed reading of every tile. Guest progress is stored on this device; optional account creation lets you save and sync.

Account safety

A DexJourney email sign-in only opens your checklist account; it does not connect to Pokémon GO. Never provide a game password to DexJourney or to an unofficial collection service. Read the privacy notice for how imported files and saved checklist data are handled.

Report a correction

If an event, acquisition method, or import result looks wrong, contact feedback@dexjourney.com with the page URL, what needs correcting, and a source link or screenshot. Do not send game passwords, login codes, or private account details.
